Organic substances do not exist in clean metal, but when the surface becomes
exposed to dirt and damp it gains organic qualities. Therefore the moss
spores get the nutrition they need to establish growth. The affections
have begun.
It has for a long time been a problem –among for example industries-
to prevent and maintain metal roofs and walls free from moss. The moss
binds damp which breaks down surface treatment and the metal, which
has to be repaired at large costs.
The dirt and the damp increase the growth speed. The metal decomposed
faster. Affection of moss is prohibited easily by treating the metal
with Bensaltenside. All growth is sterilized within 24 hours and the
metal surface becomes totally disinfected. The remains are rinsed off
by the rain or are flushed off.
