The wooden fibres, the resin and the damp in the wood have organic qualities
and which gives the mould spores nutrition. The establishment of growth
starts and it goes fast –when damp and dirt are gathered on the
wooden surface, the accretion increases and the affections becomes even
more extensive.
Raw wooden surfaces are more vulnerable since the affections sticks
harder and deeper. Painted –or in other ways treated wooden surfaces
is vulnerable since they gives the spores a lot of fissures and spaces
where they can establish themselves. Even more moisture and nutrients
are gathered there too.
When the affections have started to grow the development goes fast and
the only way to totally stop the development -and to protect the wooden
surface- is to sterilize all wood.
Bensaltenside is the most efficient substance on the market today and
therefore present and future affections are impossible. The protection
is guaranteed for four years.
